If you have ever felt the curiosity of what it feels like to hold a golf club facing the Mediterranean, you have come to the right place. Mallorca is not just a sun and beach destination; for many, it is the heart of golf in Mallorca and Europe. But where do you start if you have never stepped on a green?

Starting golf lessons in Mallorca is an experience that combines technique, nature, and relaxation. At Club de Golf Alcanada, we understand that the first steps are the most important. Therefore, we provide you with a guide so that your debut in this sport is as good as you have imagined.

Why choose Mallorca to start playing golf?

The island offers unique conditions that you will hardly find anywhere else in the world:

  • Privileged climate: With more than 300 days of sunshine a year, any time is good for an outdoor class.
  • Top-level facilities: Mallorca has courses designed by the best architects, such as Robert Trent Jones Jr.
  • Relaxing environment: The sea breeze and the silence of the course are the best allies for the concentration a beginner needs.

Learning at the Alcanada Golf Academy

At Golf Alcanada, teaching is not generic. Our golf lessons for beginners in Mallorca, led by professional golfer Joan González, is based on a clear philosophy: simplify.

For a beginner, the swing movement can seem like a complex technique. Joan’s method seeks an organic and natural posture, allowing each player to find their own rhythm without forcing the body.

Technology at the service of the debutant

Did you know we are the first course in Mallorca to feature Toptracer technology in our practice area? Even if you are just starting out, this system allows you to see the trajectory and distance of your ball on a screen in real-time. This is very positive for understanding what you are doing right in each of your movements from minute one.

4. Etiquette and rules: Golf is a sport for gentlemen and ladies; learning respect for the course and fellow players is fundamental.

Equipment

Many beginners fear the initial investment in material before knowing if they will like the sport. This is a mistake, which is why at Golf Alcanada we eliminate that barrier. We have a TaylorMade rental service of the latest generation, allowing you to learn with the same technology used by tour professionals.

We have sets perfectly adapted to every user profile, and of course, specific sets for our Junior Academy.

Our professionals will advise you on which type of shaft or flexibility suits you best according to your strength and natural swing. It’s not just about “lending you some clubs,” but about equipping you properly with tools that facilitate your success at impact.

If you decide this is your sport, our Pro-Shop is one of the most complete in the Balearic Islands, and you will receive expert advice for your first technical purchase.
